SHARON DIAMOND
Development Officer, Ottawa Arts Council

A former stage manager and events coordinator in Toronto, Sharon Diamond graduated in 2001 with a B.F.A. from Ryerson’s Theatre School Technical Theatre program. Select works include the Toronto International Film Festival, Harbourfront Centre, Canadian Stage Company, Crow’s Theatre, and Toronto Fringe Festival shows.

In 2004 Sharon moved to Ottawa and started fundraising and community development for Ottawa’s Jewish community before joining the events and communications team at United Way Ottawa.

In July 2013 Sharon joined at the Ottawa Arts Council, and is thrilled to be back working in the arts community. In her current role, Sharon has had the opportunity to learn about Ottawa’s cultural sector’s strengths and challenges, and explore strategies to address those as an organization and as a community.
