Senior Manager, Nordicity
As a Senior Consultant with Nordicity, Julie has led a wide-range of research across the cultural media sectors, for industry associations and economic development agencies to independent companies and not-for-profits seeing strategic and business planning guidance. She has a particular interest in diversity and inclusion in the culture sector as well as labour market, skills and training insights for the arts and creative industries. In her free time, Julie also serves as a Strategic Advisor to the Montreal-based media and digital literacy organization Hands On Media Education.
A skilled interviewer, writer and client liaison, she has presented at the Digital Media at the Crossroads 2016 Conference, Ontario Creates Research Showcase and Ontario Creates Digital Dialogues, TIFFNexus Women in Film, Games and New Media conference and WIFT-T’s Executive Management Program.
Prior to joining Nordicity, Julie worked in the marketing divisions of international publishing houses Penguin, Random House and HarperCollins UK. She has advised entrepreneurial media companies on business planning and growth strategies, partnerships and promotions. She holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a BA from McGill University.
