Gillian Müller is such a Torontonian that she attended the Ryerson Film Studies Program. Her thesis project 'If a Body' was acquired by cable channel Movieola and screened at the New York International Film Festival. A graduate of VFS's Writing program, Gillian was hired to develop a pilot for Adam Beach's production company Pipestone Pictures and by Random Bench co-Founder, Liz Levine to write and direct the webseries Redemption. Her feature, Hitchhiking in Saldanha was shortlisted by the 2013 Praxis Screenplay Competition and the ScreenCraft Fellowship Competition in 2014.
Gillian attended the Second City's Sketch Writing and Improv program. She was a 2014 resident of the Canadian Film Center's Primetime TV program under the show-runner Brad Wright (Stargate) where they developed the television series Travelers, for Showcase and Netflix.
Most recently, Gillian was Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern’s assistant on the final season of CBC's X Company. She also produced, story edited and co-directed the webseries Night Owl, selected for 2018’s SXSW Independent Episodics, and the BravoFact Checking Out for Matchstick Pictures. She also produced the short film Super Zee which was made with an all P.O.C. crew. Her original series, The Player’s Son, is currently under an agreement with Sienna Films.
